How the Rankings
Work
- Suppose the names
were input as 1st John, 2nd Joe, 3rd Rick, 4th Stan
- The rankings program
runs similar to the singles rankings program but the flight match is
considered multiple matches
- The result would
be Rick defeated Stan. Joe defeated Stan. Joe defeated Rick. John defeated
Stan then Rick then Joe.
- So John would be
3-0, Joe 2-1, Rick 1-2, Stan 0-3.
- Each individual
win moves you up the ladder a third as much as a win in singles because
one flight match is equivalent to playing three singles matches.
- May each individual
win moves you up a maximum 10% of the total number of players
- June each individual
win moves you up a maximum 7% of the total number of players
- July each individual
win moves you up a maximum 3% of the total number of players
- Minimum amount
is 2 spots.
- Each individual
loss to a lower ranked player moves you down one spot
- Two week rule applies
the same as for singles
Champions
- The champions will
be the highest ranked male and female players after the final tournament
has been played
