The league consists of ladder style challenge matches, drop-in tennis, on-site tournaments, and final masters cup championship. An automated match scheduler helps you set up matches. Rankings are updated automatically when winners report their scores on the site. Also included are detailed player stats with head to head results. Over 300 local players compete each summer.

The league started in 1997 by local players who wanted a better way of finding players to play with a little competition mixed in. The Puget Sound Tennis Tour has quickly grown to become the biggest non-team tennis league in the area bringing together hundreds of local players every summer in a friendly competitive format.

Stay Tournament Sharp all Summer
Tour players routinely finish at the top of local tournaments because playing competitive tennis every week keeps them sharp.

Improve your Game Fast
Playing different players each week with different styles is an excellent way to raise your game. Many of the top players in the A divisions started out in the B's in previous seasons.

Flexible Scheduling and Locations
The Tour is the easiest way to set up competitive tennis matches around.

You decide how much tennis you want to play.
Once a week? Twice a week? Every other week? Away on vacation? No problem. You are able to choose when you play. To maintain your ranking you only need to play one match every two weeks. There are no hassles if you don't play, you will simply drop in the rankings a few spots.
(Tour match record 56 matches one season!)

You decide where you play.
People that challenge you try to play where it's convenient for you.

It's easy to find someone to play.
The Tour Match Scheduler Program e-mails other players who are looking to play matches at times and places convenient to you. You are under no obligation to play. Simply respond to the request if it fits your schedule. Use the challenge email program to send direct challenges to players. They have one week to respond to avoid dropping three spots.

Tour Format
Three months of Challenge Matches in Ladder Format (May, June, July)

The automated Tour Match Scheduler will help you find matches based on your location and time preferences. You will receive friendly emails from the match scheduler all summer long inviting you to play.

Play unlimited tennis during this period against players you choose to play. Don't settle for a league that forces you to play a certain opponent every week.

Two On-Site Mini-Tournaments
(June and July)

Charge up your tennis experience this summer by playing in one or both of our on-site tour tournaments. We run these tournaments in one day. Eight person draws are created on the spot based on the current tour rankings. Play up to three shortened set matches. Win it all and you go home with the number one ranking.

July Mini-Tournament

Looking for a new racket? Our sponsors will be there with rackets on hand for you to demo between matches along with a bunch of free stuff.

Final Tournament in Masters Cup Round Robin Format (August)

Finish it off just like the pros in Masters cup format. Play three round robin qualifier matches. Play well and you move on to the semi final rounds.

Weekly tour Newsletters keep you current with what the competition is doing and let you know what local tournaments are coming up.

Divisions and Levels
Divisions include Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Doubles Flights.

Doubles Flights. This is a co-ed doubles division where you rotate partners after every four games. You don't need a doubles partner to sign up! It's a great way to meet people.

How the Rankings are Determined
Each season starts where the previous left off. New players are added to the bottom in order of sign up. We don't use any complex formulas. We keep it simple and let the large number of matches played over the summer take care of things. As the season progresses it becomes more and more difficult to move up the rankings from a big win. The maximum amount you move up with each win is adjusted each month.

May-Move up a maximum 30% of the rankings with each win
June-Move up a maximum 20% of the rankings with each win
July-Move up a maximum 10% of the rankings with each win
Note:the maximum is always at least 5 spots.

One thing that doesn't change, each match loss to a lower ranked player moves you down one spot. The final Tour tournament decides the Tour Champion.

Testimonials
I would also like to add that my experience on the tour so far has been a very pleasant one (aside from being winless in the B division so far). I never imagined I could find so many people that enjoy tennis as much as I do. Thanks for all the hard work you put into the tour to make it a success. I am excited to see it continue to grow in the years to come.

Thanks, Chris

I really enjoyed the tour this year.
I am losing pounds, getting a better game, positive
things all around . thanks much for keeping it going.
