Brent,

Generally the summer season has ended Aug 15 each year. Were players polled/ asked about this change/extension? That now makes the summer season 4 full months, which is too long in my opinion. Couple that with the playoffs, it is a 5 month season. Great if you have the time/energy to play for 5 months, not great if you don't.

Similarly, the rule of your previous year's ranking going to this year's ranking seems to have disappeared and been replaced by sign up first and get a higher ranking? If that is the case, I personally don't like this rule, it is an unfair rule. Why the change? If that is the case, were players polled/asked about this change? Thanks Tom

I am ok with a longer summer season since many guys won't play much in the fall.
As for rankings I agree previous year should be used for the next year to keep things orderly but not a big deal since one should be able to work their way up the ladder in 3-4 matches.

I feel the ranking used for playoffs and for display on the tour should be the L-Rank...
L-Rank reflects the Ladder rank more accurately and skill level too.
They system already has incentives to play more with the no-play drop rule....L-rank should be weighted more heavy at least.

Despite my comments I am grateful for the tennis tour when I moved here 18 months ago I feared my tennis would suffer but it has not.
Last year seemed like more action on the requests and this year more blowoffs to challenges but most of mine where answered.
Thanks Brent for the tour I hope it continues next year.
